Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Danny Daze

Danny Daze

With his eclectic beats Miami native Daniel Gomez aka Danny Daze, as his mother dubbed him, has made enough of an impression to now be signed to the two biggest agencies in the nation. AM Only for his solo work & Deckstar for his "DiscoTech" work. Danny has already caught the ear of magazines such as Rolling Stone, URB, and BBC radio with his DiscoTech remix of Kanye West – Homecoming and is speculated to have have released several songs under, "Señor Stereo" which will soon be featured on Ministry of Sound and Kitsuné record labels however his involvement with "Señor Stereo" cannot be denied nor confirmed.

The first time Daze picked up an instrument he was just seven years old. His father, who also sings Opera, gave young Danny the opportunity to play the triangle in his Salsa band. The triangle was just the beginning. With partial thanks to an appearance by The Rock Steady Crew in the legendary break-dancing film "Beat Street", at the tender age of ten, Daze was not only playing music, but began dancing to it at local break dancing events. It was at those B-Boy events that Daze entered the realm of DJ, and at thirteen he spun the Full Moon party at the Malibu Castle Park. His popularity escalated by simple word of mouth as he continued to infiltrate the scene. Daze soon became a regular DJ at raves and the Miami club scene.

However, just as his personal party was filling in, uninvited legal troubles crashed it. Due circumstance the courts ordered him to the confines of his residence. Always the opportunist, Daze took this time to continue to expand his mental and physical music library, craft new sounds, produce his own albums, and start record label called Omniamm. Fortunate enough, Daze found a loophole around his house arrest by declaring DJing his full time gig. Once outside his tower gates he quickly picked up where he left off, penetrating top clubs and top cities with his unconventional fresh new sounds. He holds local residencies at Rokbar, Liv @ Fountainbleu and White Room, as well as national residencies at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Shadow bar in Houston, Slide in San Francisco. His unique style has caught the ear from promoters at the Playboy Mansion to Carnival party go-ers in Brazil. His range in club scenes and parties is just a minor reflection of his range as a DJ.

Daze has won several awards, his most recent includes Best Club DJ in 2009 by Miami New Times and 944's top ten "Masters of the Mix". He was also given the title of Best Club DJ in 2007 by the Miami New Times and Miami Herald's "Best Local DJ" beating out friend DJ Irie of 99 Jamz. If you ask him he's still waiting for America's Best Looking DJ Award... just don't take him too seriously.

Beyond his acclaim as a solo artist, he has also received recognition for his work with partners Joe Maz & Gigamesh for their remix team "DiscoTech". With over 250 remixes which include official remixes for everyone from Donna Summers to Chicago house legend Mixin' Marc, DiscoTech is just one of Daze's several projects
