Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Old Havana Band

Old Havana Band 1 Photo

OLD HAVANA traces its roots to "LOS GRINGOS", a local cover band that enjoyed great success and had a large following in the Culver City/West LA area during the 70’s, performing at local parties and special events.  At the height of their popularity, band founders Juan Carlos Dominguez and Manny Rodriguez, decided to dissolve the band to pursue careers in law enforcement.  After 35 years, Juan Carlos and Manny who remained close friends throughout the years, decided to call on their original "Los Gringos" percussionist  Jose “Pepe” Sanchez to put together a new band.  They sought out other musicians, among them High School friends and talented musicians in their own right, the "Valle brothers"... Omar Valle – Percussionist/vocals and Ornan Valle – Lead Guitarist, as well as percussionist Tony Garcia, also a High School friend. This diverse group of musicians was complemented by the addition of another long time friend and talented percussionist/drummer Vance Bjorklund.  Finally, with the addition of the incredible keyboardist Jordan "brazo loco" Clover, the group's distinct sound was perfected and Old Havana was born.
Last Fall during a reunion of local Culver City and LA area clubs, Old Havana made its debut, much to the enjoyment of their long time "Los Gringos" fans.  These old fans were quickly converted to loyal and dedicated admirers of Old Havana. The band really looks forward to adding new friends to their list of  fans.
The band has tight percussion, beautiful guitar and keyboard solos...they make each song their own, while always maintaining the integrity of the original.  The band excels at  performing latin/rock and 70’s & 80’s classics.  Old friends, together again, having fun and playing good music. Their energy is contagious.   They will make your event special!
