Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Kingston A Go-Go

Like the Caribbean capital city that is their namesake, Orange County’s Kingston a Go Go is an epicenter of inspired music making.

Combining the best aspects of classic and contemporary ska, rocksteady and reggae with degrees of dub, dancehall, jazz and soul, the band strikes the right balance to satisfy longtime lovers of the Jamaican sound as well as more recent converts.

The charismatic lead vocals of front man and founder Spanky Kingston are bolstered by a locked-in drums and bass foundation, a blazing horn section, guitars that ride the riddims and punctuate the melodies, bubbling keyboards and rootsy percussion.

A varied repertoire of mostly originals - plus a few lovingly rendered covers- showcases the band’s skills as players from diverse musical backgrounds who together unleash a mighty collective energy that sets every crowd they perform for in dancing motion. Kingston A Go Go has shared the stage with such internationally known heavyweights as Lee "Scratch" Perry, The Melodians, General Smiley, and Bad Manners and local notables like See Spot,The Expanders, The Israelites and The Chris Murray Combo.

They can always be counted on to nice up the proceedings with one Jamaican scorcher after another and will be doing so for a long time to come.
