Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Singer/songwriter/musician Sheyna Gee tends to put it all out there in her songs. "I don't really have much of a filter, I just want to be on stage singing and playin my guitar," says the now 21 year old singer/songwriter. Since she picked up the guitar when she was 5 years old, that's what she's done. Sheyna wrote her first song when she was 7 and recorded her first CD at 9. Her efforts didn't go unnoticed for long. At the age of 12 she got her first endorsement from Daisyrock Girl Guitars. Soon after she appeared on the cover of music books written and designed to inspire young girls to play music, "Girls Guitar Method" [Alfred Publishing] . Then came "Girls Guitar Method 2 & 3" and "Girl's Bass Method." In 2003 and 2004 she appeared on the stage at both the NAMM show and South by Southwest. By the time Sheyna was 17 she'd opened for Stevie Wonder, Elton John, The Donnas and played on stages across the country. In 2007 she became a finalist in the National Foundation of the Arts competition. She took 2nd place out of over 7000 entries and became the very first rock singer ever to make it into the finals, getting rock recognized as an art form. Sheyna spent the last year writing her new album and honing in on her sound. With lyrics like "I bought this 22 to put a hole in you, Its nice to see you shaking in your boots" from they're song "In Your Eyes," you cant help but sing along and tap your feet. Gee was the Southern California representative in the Texaco Country Showdown after just 6 months playing country music and is now the winner of two LA Music Awards including "best country single" for her song "Truck" and best singer/songwriter. Stay tuned for more music and like Sheyna says "always remember to smile because life is better when you look on the bright side."
