Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Eva De Roovere is a Belgian singer/songwriter. After studying the clarinet and the violin, she attends theatre school (Studio Herman Teirlinck) and the Jazz Studio Tritonus in Antwerp. Still in school, she becomes the front singer of the folk rockband Kadril. During her years with Kadril, she performs on almost every folk festival in Europe and she records 3 traditional Flemish folk music CDs. After winning the prestigious “Leids Cabaret Festival” in 1999 in the Netherlands, she joins the band Oblomow, with which she records 2 world music CDs. The project “Little Naked Songs” (Kleine Blote Liedjes) – performed only with guitar and voice – brings her a lot of airplay on the Belgian radio. In 2006, Eva decides to leave her musical friends and starts her own band. With this band, she tours Belgium, the Netherlands and South-Africa. She recorded 3 CDs in her own name – “De Jager” (The Hunter), “Over en Weer” (Back and Forth) and “Mijn huis” (My house). “The Hunter” sold over 30,000 albums in 2 years time. She has worked with some of the best Belgian and foreign songwriters.
