Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

J. Marie, the self-proclaimed “Rare Melody,” unleashes an innovative and unique approach to music. With her new band, The Color Different, she takes you on a musical journey with her eclectic fusion of r&b, soul and alternative sounds while drawing inspiration from the likes of Prince, Mint Condition and Lauryn Hill.

Growing up in a successful musical family who toured internationally, J. Marie was exposed to and groomed for the stage at an early age. She began writing songs and performing at the tender age of seven and went on to win numerous vocal competitions, hold a leading role in the Tulsa Youth Opera's rendition of "Brundibar" and star in the off Broadway musical "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”

This singer, songwriter, and musician hailing from Van Nuys, California by way of Tulsa, Oklahoma has shared the stage with such artists as Charlie Wilson, Bobby Brown and Avant and has worked with some of the industry’s most notable producers including the Platinum Brothers (J. Holiday, Jennifer Lopez) and The Ambassadorz (Usher, Rihanna).

After the successful release of her debut album in 2010, The Introduction, J. Marie took an unexpected hiatus from her artistry as she worked behind the scenes as an A&R and artist manager for well known acts such as Linda Perry, Chet Faker, Rainy Milo and V. Bozeman. Knowing she had more to offer the music industry, J. Marie quit her FT job behind the scenes, grabbed her mic and charged full steam ahead to pursue her artistic passion.

Now gearing up to release her EP, The Re-Introduction, in early 2015 followed by a European album, the sky is only the limit for this undeniable talent who creates with her soul and speaks through her art.

Prepare to “Experience J. Marie & The Color Different.”
