Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

David G Smith has released several albums that feature appearances by celebrated bluesman Keb Mo, recent Grammy nom, Mary Gauthier (go-shay) and America's Got Talent semifinalist and Taj/Mo Tour super vocalist, Alicia Michilli. David's recent album First Love was accepted for Grammy consideration for “Best Folk Album”. First Love also hit #1 on both the Roots Music Iowa Album and national Alternative Folk charts and also made RMR's "Best Of 2018" list. His songs have been featured on Fox TV, Lifetime Network and the Travel Channel. David performed for 5000 Eagle Scouts in an arena event at MSU/MI and his song “Made For You” was First Place winner for the 2008 International Song Competition/Country Category. He donates time and money to local causes across the US to include his two of his faves, St. Jude Children's Hospital and Boys Town. The late Blue Miller (Bob Seger/India Arie) has produced his last 2 studio releases as well as David’s upcoming 2019 7th release Who Cares.
