Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Kaeli Earle‘s music is a mish mash of soul and pop, jazz and rock. She draws from influences like Billie Holiday, the Beatles and Amy Winehouse, as well as D’angelo and Dilla, and brings them together in a real live show with an energy that fills the room and makes people feel good.

Originally from Washington State, Kaeli grew up playing classical cello and after eight years, switched to the bass to play jazz. After moving to the Bay Area, Kaeli picked up work as a freelance bassist, playing noted venues like Yoshi’s, the Freight and Salvage, the Bach Dancing & Dynamite Society and Kuumbwa, and singing and playing bass with touring gypsy-jazz band The George Cole Quartet. She soon gained a following for her warm voice and powerful stage presence, swaying audiences nationwide with her performances.

While playing with George Cole, Kaeli started producing electronic music under the Soundcloud moniker kæli. She also joined Seattle-based label Undergrnd Lvxvry, where she released several tracks, and began playing bass for Bay Hip Hop group The Oakland Mind, laying down bass lines for rappers in a weekly cypher.

After receiving a full ride to Berklee College of Music, Kaeli moved to Boston where she started writing music and playing with the other students. Now in her first year at Berklee, Kaeli is currently working on a live-instrument, soul-styled EP set to be released through Undergrnd Lvxvry, and will be playing shows in California, Washington State and Massachusetts over the summer with her band.‚Äč The band is comprised of a roster of professional musicians, all talented individuals on piano, drums, guitar, horns and backup vocals, with the shared vision of great music and a great show.
