Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Mycle Wastman

Seattle soul-singer, Mycle Wastman, emerged as a stealth frontrunner on season 3 of NBC’s The Voice. Rightly so! He delivers a refreshing combination of an old soulful vibe, R&B sensibilities, and a splash of pop. Wastman is a singer’s singer, interpreting from all of the greats who have come before him while still firmly exerting a style all his own.

As a child, Wastman’s grandmother, who sang background vocals for Frank Sinatra, instilled in him a passion and appreciation for music beyond measure. Consequently, Wastman’s influences range from the likes of Al Green all the way to Led Zeppelin, and he not only sings with the best of them, but he also plays guitar, bass and drums.

From his years as an Army private to later serving in the Army Reserves as a chaplain’s assistant, at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, singing and performing have always been an integral part of Wastman’s life. He writes his own music and is currently working on his third full-length album. Previous releases include I’m All Over It (2011) and The Beautiful Stay (2008).

On NBC’s The Voice, Mycle Wastman’s performance of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” caused three judges to ecstatically turn their chairs. CeeLo Green, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine all fought convincingly to have Mycle on their team… but wisely, Mycle went with “Team CeeLo.”

CeeLo Green said “You got the whole spectrum, man, you are the total package!”
