Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Mom Said No

Buffalo, NY-based alternative band Mom Said No has sprinted out of the garage and set its sights on the national stage. While some of the group’s members are still in their teens, Mom Said No has already perfected its own brand of high-energy, dramatic, and tuneful pop. With the vocal harmonic influences from The Beach Boys to the high energetic performances of James Brown and the pop sensibilities of The Cars, Mom Said No is truly an experience of its own.

Mom Said No’s debut EP, Motivation, presents four radio-ready original songs and is available for download through iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon. Recorded at Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac’s GCR Audio studies, the EP includes contributions from 10,000 Maniacs violinist/vocalist Mary Ramsey, Psychedelic Furs saxophonist Mars Williams, and Arkells keyboardist/vocalist Anthony Carone. The recording showcases infectious pop (“Song to You” and “The Intro”), tender ballads (“Never Ending Something,” which boasts Ramsey’s passionate string playing), and uptempo indie rock (“Cruising”).

Composed of members Elliott Hunt (vocals and guitar); Tim Jackson (vocals); Ben Mac (bass and vocals); Aaron Schapiro (guitar and keyboards); and Chris Lillis (keyboard and vocals), and his brother Mike Lillis (Drummer) Mom Said No has shared the stage with such touring acts as such as Young Empire and others and have been showcased at national music festivals like Music Is Art (Buffalo, NY) and Xpress Music Festival (Morgantown, WV).

As the band prepares to return to the studio to follow up its EP with a full-length recording, touring dates are being scheduled and a push to internet radio is being planned.
