Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Cougar Getting, Jr. was born primarily as a fun project to play parties and special events for The Venice Vintage Motorcycle Club. Core members Zach and Farin both VVMC brothers and working musicians with several other projects, but sprang into action when called upon to play a surprise birthday party for fellow brother “Fast” Eddie in January 2015. Quickly learning songs by Billy Joel, Don Henley, The Cars, U2, Beastie Boys, ACDC, Tom Petty, David Bowie, Weezer, Talking Heads, Pixies, Traveling Wilburys, The Band, Prince, Psychedelic Furs, Violent Femmes, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, and Madonna, they recruited Bobby Alt and Jeffrey Howell from the band National Anthem and made their debut at The Mint in Los Angeles. Joined at subsequent shows by various other LA musicians including Matt Rowe, Dakota Clark, Joe Travers, Nick Milo, Chris Pink and Zach Thistle, CGJr has addd a set of 70's classics from Thin Lizzy, The Stooges, MC5, ELO, Led Zep, Ramones, and The Clash for its 2017 lineup. The band continues to make fools of themselves and rock the LA club circuit.
