Charley's is my kind of place - Willie Nelson

Take a step back in time and find true Aloha.

Charley's Restaurant and Saloon, established in 1969, is an award-winning, Maui Landmark.

Charley’s is a reflection of the culture of Maui, the essence of its foods, and the warm spirit of entertainment and Aloha.

We welcome you to a favorite community gathering place and celebrated destination spot.

Charley’s is located in Paia, Maui, Hawaii; a former sugar-plantation town that serves as the crossroads to the North Shore of Maui.  Known for its large waves and ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kite-boarding, the North Shore of Maui is a water playground. The North Shore is also known for its rainforests, waterfalls and hiking.

Paia maintains its small-town, old Hawaii charm, and is now a bustling destination with restaurants, bars, shopping, coffee and gelato.

At Charley’s you never know who might be sitting next to you. It’s long been a favorite hang-out for surfers, adventurers, writers, hippies, rock stars, artists, business leaders, celebrities, and all types, looking to get away and find the ultimate in Maui hospitality.

Aloha Radio

Aloha Radio 1 Photo

After enjoying some initial success in her young solo career, Lauren Mulderrig and her band were looking for a new outlet for their creative inspiration. Heralding from the land of surf and sun, it was only natural that Aloha Radio was formed. Aloha Radio is a culmination of all things surf with a mix of songs that any person of any age will enjoy. From high energy Dick Dale inspired tracks featuring the pounding drums and fast picking that made surf rock so popular to catchy Hawaiian style songs that feature lap steel and ukulele, Aloha Radio’s music offers its audience a new and exciting surf experience. Aloha Radio consists of four permanent members, Lauren Mulderrig on lead vocals, ukulele, and acoustic guitar, Alex Barnett on electric guitar, lap steel and backing vocals, Captin on bass, and Chris Hori on drums and percussion. They are also happy to welcome some special guests on stage from time to time. In a very short time, this Southern California based band has attracted the attention of music industry executives and producers, professional surfers, surfboard and surf apparel companies, and some of California’s hottest beach clubs and hotspots. Aloha Radio is ready to ride the wave of success. We hope you come along!
